"You coulda sent a postcard or something."
[What is postcard, question?] Rocky trills, way too invested in the exchange.
"A picture of a place you're visiting," Nebula deadpans. "Humans send them to people they're avoiding."
AKA, Ryland Grace and Tony Stark hooked up in college. This is fine, until twenty four years later, when one of them saves the Earth, the other loses half the universe, and they both find out that even ten trillion miles of space can't stop you from running into your old situationship.

Summary
Grace is pushing forty, still working the same old job as a biology teacher at a private San Francisco high school. His life is pretty unassuming. Mundane at best.
At least until he meets his new coworker Simon, the twenty-something PE teacher who is hellbent on seducing him.
Not that Grace would need much persuading. Only, he's a bit too oblivious.Grace shouldn’t have come here again.
It’s a horrible idea. The worst one, really.
But if it is so wrong, why does the thought of it have to feel so good?
Simon leans against the cold, white tile of the teacher showers.
“You can’t seriously stand there and tell me you’ve never even thought about it,” Simon mutters, resting his head on the wall, damp hair falling onto his face.
Grace gulps, hard. He should leave. Turn back and pretend none of this ever happened. That would be for the best.
But he doesn’t.
“I have,” he nods. His lust clouds his judgement, and he speaks without contemplating it first. “I’m thinking of it right now, actually.”
