They don’t go straight home after Legacy.
Pearl says it’s a tradition: she finds a room at some extended-stay Golden Inn public server in the middle of nowhere to stay for the night after the server closes, just to get her things back in order. It’s a great idea, actually. Gem has practically two inventories’ worth of personal items in her transfer boxes, and that’s the sort of thing that takes hours to unpack. And then there’s all the adrenaline from the final server event, not to mention that it’s already the middle of the night. A quick stay at a hotel sounds perfect. But not on her own reservation, of course. Where’s the fun in that?
or: After the end of Legacy, Pearl and Gem share a hotel room for a sleepover before heading home.
