    Luca Haas was drafted 2nd overall by the Ottawa Centaurs. That same year, Ilya Rozanov, one of, if not the, best professional hockey players that Luca had essentially worshipped growing up, signed with the Centaurs.

    Luca grew up speaking Swiss German and was taught English throughout his school years. The only logical thing he could do after being drafted to a Canadian team and learning that he had a chance of playing with Ilya Rozanov was to learn as much French and Russian as he could.

    And as for Carter Vaughn and Cliff Marleau? Well, they are just content to see their friends happy and play good hockey, all while trying to be the straight allies their friends and teammates deserve.

    Until a drunken night at The Kingfisher when the Centaurs and Raiders are in town with the Admirals sees Carter asking Cliff out in a moment of accidental insanity, and Cliff deciding why the hell not and saying yes. But they're both definitely going to correct this confusion. Any day now. Right?
