Summary
Charles had always wanted a soulmate. His mark, an angry red X, spoke of passion and fury, of love and hate, of pain and pleasure. A love so fiery, it would surely burn him alive. Suddenly, he found the same X on another's nape. Only, Erik's was blue, like the deepest depths of the ocean, blue like the night sky. A love given freely and fully, suffocating him, and, ultimately, drowning him.
Telling him was never an option. For who could promise him that Erik would stay?

Or: Charles has a line, and the agents cross it. Several times. And Erik discovers that perhaps Charles is not so much of a pacifistic pushover as he appears.

Summary
Clark closed his eyes, wincing. “Your children have some…guests.”
“Tell me something I don’t know.” Bruce muttered, setting aside the tablet.
“No, I mean…I think all of them, um. Have a guest, tonight.”
