“I hate you,” Juyeon whispered, the words devoid of any real heat, filled with a weary, infinite sorrow.
“I know,” Hyunjae whispered back, his voice hoarse. He curled closer, seeking the heat of the body that had just used his so violently. “I hate me too.”

Juyeon has never been popular. His whole life, he’s spent in the shadows of other people. Happily so. He’s never been the football star, a part of the student council, a weed-smoking skater kid, or the lead of the school play. He’s always just been Lee Juyeon, the nerd. He didn’t know how to be cool like those guys at his school, prancing around in their varsity jackets with a pretty piece of ass stuck to their side. Not like he wanted to be anyways. Juyeon despised those guys. He thought that life was way too easy for them. Those guys have never had to work for anything a day in their lives, Juyeon thinks. They were born with silver spoons in their mouths, kicked a ball around a couple times and boom! everyone is gushing over them. Guys like that have never been called names or been stuffed inside middle school lockers. Guys like that never even had to try to get someone beautiful on their arm.
Someone beautiful like Hyunjae.

Summary
Slightly inebriated and stupidly sad, Jungwon rips open the packaging and holds the stick in his hands.
He feels his phone buzz in his pocket but he ignores it, feeling too dazed to send a normal message to anyone right now.
The instructions are simple: Make a wish and break the stick in half. Easy as pie.
Life can't get worse after this, anyway. Jungwon doesn't waste a second.
“I wish Park Jay loved me more than anyone in the world.”

Jungwon makes a futile wish. Five times he almost realizes why it did nothing and the one time he finally understands.

it's not fair. sunoo's been here much longer than jungwon has. all jungwon had to do was to move to their school and he was able to pull the rug right from under sunoo's feet, stealing all the alphas away.
it's alright, though. sunoo gets his revenge.

"Do you have any questions, Mr.?" Jungwon assessed him, regaining his sanity, feeling a bit sore but okay. This was certainly the longest exam he had ever had.
"I have one. Dr. Sunghoon," he got up from the chair the alpha had placed him in to clean the table.
“Speak.”
He leaned closer, watching the lab coat he had changed into. Jungwon, with a mixture of curiosity and something deeper in his expression, reached out and gently pulled at Sunghoon's tie, adjusting it back to its previous position. "Do you fuck all your patients?" His voice was low, laden with uncertainty but also challenge.
"Is this something normal?"
