Summary
Lando starts looking through the photos, he pauses about halfway through, stopping on one Max took of him by surprise. He's got his hood up, curls poking out, eyes glinting in the streetlamp light and a grin spread across his face. But it's none of that that makes him pause.
It's the man in the background.
his eyes widen slightly as he looks at the man. light brown hair glowing softly gold in the light, swooping perfect but messily over his forehead, deep brown eyes cutting through the fuzziness of the photo. Even though it was slightly blurry Lando could still see the handsomeness of the mans face.
he lets out a breath and runs a hand through his hair.
Or: Lando and Max(f) go and take photos at night in London (inspired by the hello kitty camera), in one of the photos there's a very handsome man in the background (Oscar) and Lando is set out to find him (and have a gay crisis along the way).

Summary
For days he has felt weightless. Not literally, obviously, but close enough. Like his body was just the thing carrying his brain around while his brain did all the important stuff. He could walk forever, talk forever, think forever. Sleep had seemed ridiculous because how could anyone willingly switch themselves off when there was this much to see?
Now gravity seems to remember him all at once.

Summary
It's 1120, and Yusuf and Nicolò are living in Bukhara, having gone into business together copying books. Everything would be perfect, if only Nicolò could get himself to stop pining over Yusuf. But then Nathaniel ibn Isaac, a Jewish physician from Córdoba, comes to them seeking someone to help him complete a manual for an astrolabe plate he's invented. Nicolò enjoys the job, until someone starts making attempts on Nathaniel's life. Now his life, Yusuf and Nicolò's secret, and their corner of the scholarly community in Bukhara are at risk until they can find the would-be killer.

Summary
Up close, without the mask, Oscar looks unbearably young — younger than Lando now, Lando thinks distantly, though Orion never let them keep track of birthdays. Even though he’d never thought of Oscar like that, mostly because Oscar always had his walls up and his mask on. Never let any sign of weakness slip.
Not like Lando. Lando had been weak. He’d cried a lot. He feels like crying now, but funnily enough, now that it is allowed, his eyes are all dry.
