“No it fucking ain’t you suicidal prick.” Chase snaps back at him. The older man is definitely angrier than he’d been a few hours ago, far more irritated compared to when he’d first shown up at Roberts crumbling apartment unannounced.
“Yes it fucking is!” He snaps right back. “I don’t need to be doing this.”
“Robert please, it’s not going to fucking kill you.” Chase amps up again, they’d been going back and forth for the last 2 and a half hours. Doing the same spiel for every piece of cloth Robert picked from the big, corporate bag of nesting shit sent to him by SDN.

The man was in a suit that almost reminded Robert of something from Cirque du Soleil, all skin-tight, shimmering fabric with bursts of red and orange and a V-neck that showed a lot more than neck. The wrap-around sunglasses didn’t even look that ridiculous.
Infuriatingly, he managed to be beautiful, like a Monet in an Ikea frame is beautiful. He had changed very little in the years since Robert first encountered him, at least physically. Robert couldn’t say the same.

“Why are we outside?!” Sydney’s stomach dropped as the chair began to be tilted upwards. One of Robert’s hands fixed on the back of the chair, the other gripping his thigh and pressing against one of the bruises he had left in their scuffle. A squeeze on the still-tender muscle as the chair was tilted backwards and—
Sydney choked on a moan before biting the inside of his cheek so hard he nearly drew blood. Too little too late.
The sound seemed to echo in the resounding silence save for the wind that still rushed over his ears as Robert froze. The chair remained half tilted over the railing even as Robert’s hand moved upwards, pressing against his left side where he had landed a nasty kidney punch that had downed him.
“Fuck–” Stupidly, his hips jolted into the touch rather than pulling away.
“What was it?” Robert drawled, voice laced with something that sent even more heat through Sydney. “‘Hope he spanks your daddy issues bitch ass to death?’ Sounds like someone was projecting."AKA: The interrogation scene between Robert and Toxic goes a bit differently.
