Summary
Dean Winchester is a skilled auto mechanic in Sioux Falls, SD whose relationship breaks up only two months after they moved in together. Lisa found out she was almost three months pregnant and is sure the kid is not his. He’s not sore, they only started being exclusive after he moved in, but it still hurts. He moves back to the home of his adoptive parents, Bobby and Karen, but he’s gotten really depressed. Then to make matters worse, he finds out his workplace is about to be bought out by a chain. He’s almost 30, why can’t he get his life together and meet the right person? So, when his brother, KU student Sam, tells him that his roommate is moving out and why doesn't he just make a fresh start, he goes for it. He quits his job and goes back to his hometown and memories that aren't always happy.
Lawrence is quirky, full of hippies and banjos and punker kids. But the food is good, and the music is better than he remembered. It’s nice, even if he is having trouble finding a job as a mechanic. When the handsome beekeeper at the Farmers Market with crazy blue eyes gives him free honey, he starts to wonder if maybe this really could be home.

Summary
Interludes in Castiel POV connected to events in East Lawrence Waltz. The Moon Through the Window is a line from the song East Lawrence Waltz.
Castiel tries to read himself to sleep after his night at The Bottleneck but gets a shock.
Note: Chapter 3.5. This is a ficlet of apology for my December break. It has only been betaed once but that feels adequate. It is inspired in part by Castiel's comment about questions and doubts from S4 Ep 7 and by the fact that Dean Winchester was named as a homage to Dean Moriarty who was Neal Cassady. And yes, that means Castiel, who bears some similarity to Ginsberg, is getting insight from himself. So meta.

Or, Jack accidentally opens a rift and brings the Derry Girls into the Supernatural universe. Predictably, chaos ensues.

Have You Tried Turning Santa's Workshop Off and On Again? by FriendofCarlotta

Summary
Dean is an elf in Santa's workshop, and he's not very good at it. Is it really his fault though if the gift assignments made by the workshop's new AI are so consistently awful? No wonder he's not meeting his quotas.
Unfortunately, the higher-ups don't see it his way. Dean gets demoted to the very bottom of the rung, the mailroom, where he soon discovers that things at Santa's workshop are even worse than he thought. With the help of his friend Charlie, his slightly uptight brother Sam and five-time Elf of the Year Castiel Novak, Dean brings to light a conspiracy that threatens the integrity of Christmas itself.
Oh, and if he's lucky, he'll get to hook up with Cas along the way.

Because damn it, damn the fucking world and Chuck and all of it, the angel was HIS. And when he, oh when Dean really wants something, he's going to burn his life down before letting it go. Or letting someone take that "something" away from him.
