Summary
When Lucifer Fell with Lilith, he accidently dragged someone down with them, and that someone was Kinger. Caine manifested as Kinger fell, and together they formed the Circus, traveling between the Rings and picking up new carnies along the way. After centuries in other Rings, they are finally coming up to Pride; Lucifer is delighted and decides to take the Hotel to have a fun time!

He looked past Charlie to the angel he’d been trying to ignore this entire time. Emily…standing there with a bright, sincere smile on her sweet face.
He hesitated and slowly his gaze drifted from Emily to the miniscule little monarch, standing behind his daughter radiating pride. He hadn’t really taken the time to really mull over the implications, the revelations he’d learned about Lucifer while they had both been imprisoned by Vox.
He watched as Emily fluttered closer to Lucifer after embracing Charlie. The bright sweet smile on her face, the shy smile Lucifer returned.
He felt sick.
He felt starving.
He clutched his chest with one hand, breathing through the pain.
Black drool began to trickle down his chin from the corner of his strained grin.
He needed to retreat to his room before he lost control entirely, he melted down into his shadow, not noticing the two pairs of eyes that turned towards him as he left.

Summary
His poor, misunderstood AI. Kinger sees how miserable he's become, in the sparse moments, in the long absences, then he's jolting back to manic happiness in the drop of a hat. It doesn't change that those moments have still happened though, and Kinger is not only concerned for the other circus members but also Caine. Maybe mostly Caine.
His heart aches, he can't keep watching. He's crazy too, no not like Jax–Jax who copes by putting a persona on, drowning the awful abstract reality with the facade that he fits right in with the chaos and forcing adrenaline. No, he's crazy like Caine.

Kinger between his moments of sane lucidity becomes more and more empathetic to Caine, something about it being his creation, and it fighting so hard to do the directives he gave it.. It all just feels like he failed the AI, didn't give it the proper time of day and while it's not exactly rogue, it isn't okay. Plus it's.. Sentient in its own way. Now he just has the overwhelming urge to make it feel better, to comfort it–CAINE–and it seems the AI has taken a particular like to him anyway. An approval from it's creator among the love he already desires from all the circus members.YANDERE CAINE. SLOWBURN.
