Summary
Twice, the Sun shone too bright. Twice, those he reached for were burned. Twice, the world suffered the consequences of his grief. When Sally hefted her newly born son into her arms, she expected to see Poseidon’s nose or even his eyes in her son’s face. She would have welcomed the sight, in fact. Anything would have been better, anything but the golden symbol of a lyre entwined with the sun emblazoned on his chest, right over where Percy’s little heart was beating. And the most damning evidence of it all were the words Phoebus Apollon pressed on her son’s skin.
Or, Perseus and Apollo have been destined ever since time immemorial.
