Elite storytelling. Wraps up a bit quickly at the end but I’m so glad the author finished the work. A fandom classic.

Summary
Shane has married Ilya, a known chaos monster, with a penchant for fast cars and designer clothes. Shane has spent his life making sure he was financially responsible. Now it's time to merge these two different approaches to money management; It does not go the way Shane thinks it will.
They had been married for 32 days.
And now was the big conversation: estate planning, their assets, and what combining them would look like.
Shane had found a financial planner. Had set the appointment.
He was, after all, Shane Hollander; he had approached his financial future with all of the key characteristics of a Hollander. His mom had guided his career, negotiating sizable contracts for him, and his father worked for the Treasury. It was in his blood.
Ilya, meanwhile, had approached today's meeting with the same organizational energy he brought to most things in his life, except hockey: confident, yet chaotic, and generally not stressed out about whether things would work out in his favor.

Summary
“Ilya, what are we gonna do?” Shane says.
Ilya finishes whatever he has been doing on his phone, and tosses it gently to the bed beside him. He crosses the room to Shane, stands in front of him, squeezes into his shoulders with his big hands, rubbing them like he means to warm them up.
“Looks like we will have a little vacation,” he says, with a big obnoxious grin.
Boston and Montreal are sent to Paris to play against each other in an exhibition series in January 2017. Ilya and Shane decide to stay in Paris for one more night. Just one more night, so they can talk. Maybe finally understand each other.
They aren't expecting a volcano to erupt in Iceland and close all the airspace in Europe, leaving them stranded there. Together.

Summary
“Please, I-“
“Please?” He finally rasped at her. A cloud seemed to pass over his face, darkening, twisting it into a sneer. “Oh, I see. The pretty little bird has finally broken. Can't take your gilded cage anymore, eh? Thought you'd trade a few kisses to an ugly old hound for your freedom?” In a flash, the uncertainty was gone, and he was cloaked in the Hound’s callous aura once again. The shadows deepened around his eyes, and he barked an ugly laugh.
“You don’t know what you're playing with, girl. Teasing a wicked old dog like that.” He angled his face at her, burned side first. “Don't you know what dogs do to wolves?”
