Summary
There was an air about him, a look in his eyes that carried with it a depth of knowledge, as well as something else. Something more…sorrowful. He wasn’t telling them everything, that much was evident.
And Arthur had given him his real fucking name.
Arthur had lit his cigarette, silver lighter glinting beneath the buzzing overhead lights, and John had watched the detective’s eyes widen the smallest fraction (he could fucking observe things, too) like something had surprised him so much, he couldn’t smother the traces of it on his face. Like he’d recognized something.
And John didn’t fucking trust him.

Summary
Arthur only leaves because the bartop is uncomfortable to lay his head on.
Usually it’s John who pesters him into getting up and heading home before it gets too late, (Arthur, we’ll miss the train tomorrow; Arthur, the street cats will want to see us; Arthur, I want to go home) but tonight he is silent. Arthur stays longer.

And Noel wouldn’t know, because talking to them separately is so—difficult. Typed dialogues, brief conversations with Arthur when he’s put John in time-out. Not enough to really get a read on either of them as individuals.
But surely he knows enough about this—about being trapped, about being all wrapped up in another being’s mind. It’s the worst thing that’s ever happened to him, and he can’t imagine a version of it that’s good.
So. Given all of… that. Perhaps drastic measures are in order.
(Noel tries to separate Jarthur by force, and then Arthur eats John bite by bite to bind them together again. That's the fic.)

He’s being choked, pulled up into the rafters and left to die in the walls. This is a dream. It’s the angler fish’s lure, the sweet light meant to beckon him into oblivion.
Seb still can't believe he's in reality. Nothing in his life has ever been this good. Can it really be real?

As much as Yellow didn't want to admit it, listening to the stories about John were slowly getting to him. At first, he'd tried to ignore Arthur - then he'd tried to tell him to shut up - but ultimately Yellow was not only a captive audience, but a captive bored audience, and John was supposedly him, right? Yellow convinced himself that listening wouldn't hurt him, as ultimately it was just a weak-willed human prattling on about a fragment of a god it couldn't understand.

Or a fic where John doesn't return to the sound of Faroe's song, and Arthur is left trying to figure things out with Yellow instead - and Yellow is stuck dealing with an incredibly baffling human who may or may not be rubbing off on him.

Since the beginning of known history, all the Drazhada have been vampires. Edrehasivar VII is no exception.
