“So, if I’ve got this all understood, and hey, correct me if I’m wrong,” Kevin raised a brow, hands in the air as if that would help him understand anything even more than he already struggled to do so. “You… You--” he nodded to himself, “You are Wile E. and… and you’ve become… human. As human as we can legally call you, I suppose.”
Sniffling, the man in front of him nodded. Wile E. nodded.
“And… this was not related to ACME, any ACME byproducts, ACME subsidiaries, or anything else under the scope of the ACME corporation and it’s employees?”
Wile E. shook his head, the brown and grey hairs at the top of his head moving as freely as his ears used to.
“Well,” Kevin sighed as he leaned back and nearly broke his already near-death swivel chair, “I can’t help you, then! You know we only cover incidents related to rocket shoe malfunctions, anvils from rooftops, and other non-human consumer product cases.”

Summary
Wile E.’s plastered to the road as surely as if an anvil had been dropped on him. His breath stills. It’s quiet enough to hear the blinks of the Road Runner’s eyes. He presses closer, beak pushing into flesh. Not hard. It doesn’t hurt. But it feels deliberate. Wile E.’s fingers twitch. He could reach up. Wrap his paws around the Road Runner’s neck. Open his jaws and clamp down on what’s all but being offered to him—but he can’t move, pinned in place by the weight of more than just a frail beak.
After the trial, Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner work out what they are to each other.
(One side has it much easier than the other.)

Summary
It should have been all well and fine. They were cartoons, after all. Any injuries sustained easily repaired themselves almost immediately, or at least by the next day.
But the Road Runner was NOT well and fine.
As soon as he glanced down and saw a pool of red, Coyote felt ill.
