Summary
On their way back to Erid, Rocky and Grace discover a mysterious box. Upon opening it, the two discover some strange changes. Well, perhaps way more than strange.
Rocky finds a new marking on his arm similar to Grace's scar, and Grace finds markings similar to Rocky's on his arms and legs.
Rocky begins to dream and can easily wake from sleep, and Grace can stay up for much longer than a normal human should.
Grace starts seeing sound when it's too dark to properly see, and Rocky starts seeing pops of colour in his sound vision.
Neither can understand what's happening to them and how they're seemingly linked together, but they know there's nothing in the world that could tear them apart.
(TLDR: This fic will include almost everyone's favourite things! Rocky learns about how Grace got on the Hail Mary (Including Rocky witnessing the memory of Grace being sent on the Hail Mary)! When it comes to predatory, soul-sucking gacha games, Cosmic Impact Rail Zero was probably the worst of the worst. Did it have incredible characters? Yes. An engaging storyline? Double yes. Did it make Mydei want to blow his entire paycheck on weapons and skins and more rolls? Of course it did.
But it also killed off basically every character in the game, including the crown prince that shared Mydei's name– Mydeimos the Undying, Son of Gorgo. How the hell was that even possible?! He literally had undying in his title!?
So when the developers ask for feedback, Mydei goes off on a heated tangent– and finds himself reincarnated as his namesake. You know– the doomed prince, destined for a life of hardship? Destined to die?
Not if Mydei has anything to say about it.

It was a Konoha headband -- that much was obvious. The metal looked clean, though there was something dull about it, as if it hadn't seen the washing of wind and time and blood. A mark across the leaf that should have sent any Konoha shinobi to the quartermaster for a new headband was the only scratch, too -- none of the traces of a shinobi's career anywhere. Whatever it was, Sasuke recognized it, and he wasn't amused.
He thrust the blue headband forward so the blond barely had to turn to see it. "Is what-- Eh? It's your forehead protector. What else would it be?"

Varka doesn’t consider himself a denialist. Holding his position as Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, who are, to put it kindly, a bunch of misfits, he’s seen his share of weirdness for at least three lifetimes. By Celestia, his Archon is a drunk twink who can turn into a wind spirit. Because of that, Varka thinks he can handle strange things just fine. The unusual is ordinary to him.
That’s why, when Flins reveals nothing less than a pair of crystalline wings, like a damned angel on his lap while kissing him on a dull winter afternoon, he doesn’t react with shock or gape in awe like some idiot, thank you very much. But that’s when it clicks, the realization turning like a key in his mind.
Holy shit, he’s a fae.
