    Summary

When a citizen of Mondstadt is found to be involved in a series of brutal kidnappings across Fontaine, the Knights of Favonius are given an ultimatum from none other than the Hydro Archon herself: either clean up their mess and catch the guilty culprit, or have their Grand Master— Acting or non— face trial. The accusation? Concealing person from arrest. The penalty? Life sentence.

The main issue, Jean thinks as her stomach sinks at the contents of Focalors’ missive, is that the suspected criminal has ties with the Order. Which means that some of her men could be accomplices. That they can’t be trusted to be sent to Fontaine.

And that leaves Jean with only one person to plead for help.

Or; upon Jean’s request, Diluc travels to Fontaine to help take care of a case which so happens to be under the investigation of someone who goes by the name of the Duke of the Fortress of Meropide.

    Summary

Chris and Piers have built a steady, happy life together over the past three years of marriage. The only thing missing is the family they’ve always dreamed of. In a world where only omegas can carry children, the solution seems simple: find a surrogate willing to do it with one condition: the omega must live under their roof for the entire pregnancy.

Enters Leon. The surrogate they chose. Quiet, complicated, and far more than just a means to an end, he upends their carefully laid plans.
What begins as a practical arrangement soon spirals into something far messier filled with emotions, fears, and the kind of feelings none of them expected.

    Summary

Lance’s posture has gone from somewhat respectable to bad to worse, and his attention span is slowly but surely reaching its breaking point, when the door in the back of the room slides open.

Blue and gray and black. Long, dark hair. A familiar set of eyes. The same faded scar carved along his cheek.

Lance jerks upright, nearly jumping out of his chair.

    “I’m filling in for Kolivan.”

The words strike right through Lance’s sternum. And he didn’t even have his defenses up. He didn’t have time to prepare.

Although somewhere deep down, he knows that no time in the world could’ve prepared him for seeing Keith again.

or: Being stuck with his ex at a diplomatic conference for a solid month is super cool and very fun. Because Lance is over him. Obviously. He so is.

“You had to go through that thirty-three times?” Tribbie asked. Her voice wobbled with unshed tears.

Phainon did the only thing possible in such a situation: He panicked.

“Uh,” he said, because clearly his eloquence had abandoned him during one of the cycles, “yes?”

// OR, circumstance leads to the heirs thinking Phainon only lived through thirty-three cycles. Rather than correcting them on this, Phainon doubles down and decides this is the new narrative he'll go along with so as to avoid worrying them too much.

    Summary

"Lieutenant Oliveira?" A man in a fitted jacket with a haircut that belonged on a boy band member from the 90s walked into his office.

"That's my name on the door."

The man smirked and held up a badge, "Agent Kennedy from the DSO."

Why did the name sound familiar? Carlos leaned back in his chair and gestured to the free seat in front of his desk.

Agent Kennedy shook his head. "I don't want to keep you in your office long. We heard about your soldiers' high survival rates, and I've been sent to observe your training regimen. If you'll allow me."

Incoming recruits to the BSAA are required to go through basic training for how to handle bioweapons before being divided into their specialized departments. For this quarter, we'll view Carlos Oliveira's training program along with how he managed to put such an effective regimen together.
