He didn’t look mad. Atsumu felt like he was probably mad.
“So are you going to tell me how you ended up alone, in your car, in the park, in the middle of a snowstorm instead of – where you told us you'd be – with Osamu 500 kilometers away?”

Atsumu’s breath hitches in his throat, and her comment kind of pisses him off, but he tries his best to smile and laugh it off. She says that like he’s unlovable, and ‘Sakusa Kiyoomi, who currently cares only for volleyball’? That seems pretty rude too, he thinks. It’s not like Sakusa’s heartless, even if he is all reserved and stuff.
He doesn’t really listen to much else of what she has to say after that, deciding that he doesn’t really like her that much, and balls his hands into fists in his pockets.

Most shifters say that they prefer to be in their animal forms specially when they are alone; that shifting makes them feel free and detached from the worries of the human world. But Sakusa feels trapped, unsure, uncomfortable even in the privacy of his own home. He could barely remember the last time he turned into a weasel; only the fear and disgust of being seen as a beast by his own family.
However, neglecting their nature is never a healthy option for a shifter.

Their father’s voice sounded loud and domineering that day. The shame of what he liked followed him until the day he sat on the ground next to Atsumu and they painted their nails together.
There was no shame; no fear here.
He was safe. He never had to worry around Atsumu.

Summary
"When asked Hinata Shoyo exclaimed under tears that this season was for the deceased setter and that they would win for him. That they did until they lost today's match against the Adlers. It is now 5 months since the tragic suicide of Miya Atsumu. A young brilliant athlete who left the world too early but his legacy carries on. In volleyball and in his team. He has changed the sport and all of us along side it."
Atsumu watched the news report in shock... this couldn't-Or Atsumu gets kidnapped and while he holds out hope to be rescued everyone elses thinks he has died.
This is an alternative ending/storyline to the original story, in which Suna was at the bridge too late. He found only what the others did mere minutes later and Atsumu was assumed dead.Also, the alt. Chapters have additional content warnings that will be added when they come up.
