Shadow was in stasis after the events of Project Shadow, and fifty years later, the facility he was brought into was compromised, as if someone wanted Shadow to escape from Prison Island. Whomever it was, Shadow didn't care, he was just wanting to grieve the loss of Maria, but G.U.N just won't leave Shadow alone, nor will Team Sonic.
Shadow fights with both forces, then found himself exposed to the Chaos Emeralds...
