The regulation manuals said that reconditioned clones would be sent to the Coruscant Guard.
It made sense, of course, even to Fox. Reconditioned troopers were by-the-book obedient, perfect for the Senate, but that same unoriginality stripped them of much skill required on the battlefront. There was a reason, after all, that the clones were allowed to have creativity and thoughts and originality. It made them better soldiers. But if one stepped too far out of line, they’d have that all stripped away, down to the bare bones of a Clone Trooper.
Bare bones of a person, stark white and whittled down. Echoed in their shiny armour very few would bother to paint.
That had been what the reg manuals said, when Fox had been sent out. But now he was here, at his station, and had been for months, and there were no reinforcements.The Guard is being abused. Fox finds a way to stop it.
