Summary
Gods and Goddesses of a fantasy world turn to choosing champions from the recently deceased on Earth to prepare for an upcoming catastrophe. The deceased get a second chance in a new world, the gods and Goddesses have a champion, everyone should be happy all around, right?
Unfortunately the weakened Goddess of dragons needs her champion to also bring back the population of her kind and chooses her champion from among the dead just as desperate as she is: Alex. He was a tiny gaming nerd kind of guy with a major crush on his tomboy of a best friend since High school, Katrina, and wound up in the Goddess's sight when he sacrificed himself to push Katrina out of the way of an out of control truck. Unfortunately his body was unsalvagable so the Goddess had to create a new body for him, based on his memories of an "ideal" body, hundreds of hours of playing rpgs with female characters in his free time finally came to his detriment, but he has to accept this new form to even hope to see Katrina, again.*This is my work, I do not give my consent for it to be used in A.I. training algorithms*

Rumi startled awake to a scream. It was a sound she’d never heard before, and one that chilled her to her very core.
“Mama?” she whimpered, rubbing her heavy eyes.
The scream came again, and Rumi flinched. In front of her Derpy had jumped to his feet, back arched, fur standing on end as he hissed and spat at something in the garden.
Rumi thought the scream sounded like Mama. Though she’d never heard her scream, she had heard Mama call her name a million times. And it sounded like she had screamed Rumi’s name.
Suddenly, Rumi found herself airborne. A sickly purple glow wrapped around her, and long clawed fingers circled her ribcage.
The distance grew between herself and Mama with those clawed hands dragging her away.
“Mi-yeong?! Rumi?!” The deeper voice of Eomma rang out in their small back garden.
“Celine! Get Rumi! They want Rumi!” Mama screeched. “They came for Rumi, and I can’t reach her!"

Trenchcoat's voice is stern and cold, unwavering as she waits for a response.
Facing the brick wall Rumi has forgotten how to speak, her heartbeat pounding in her ears.
The blade didn’t move from her throat, Rumi’s eyes darted down, noting the weapon wasn’t held in her hand but extending from her sleeve, with some sort of mechanism. While her other hand was placed at the back of Rumi’s neck holding her in place, her body was pressed up against Rumi’s back pinning her to the wall.
“I won’t ask twice?” Trenchcoat demanded again, pressing her body closer, her breath on Rumi’s ear and she let out a sharp exhale.
