"A lot of things," Mecha Man finally says. "Flambae, make sure this asshole gets to the station without issues. I'm gonna—"
"You're gonna go to the fucking medbay!" Flambae shouts. He steps closer to the mech suit and kicks Blue's foot, visibly fighting a wince when the metal casing doesn't waver under his wrath. "I swear to fuck, if I see you in the break room, I'm burning your shitty fucking sheets, and then I'm gonna break your fucking spine in half!"
"Been there, done that."
OR: Robert Robertson is a moron with a disturbingly high tolerance for being maimed. For a guy who's supposed to be a genius, it's amazing how goddamn oblivious he is to Flambae's advances. Surely throwing an aphrodisiac into the mix couldn't POSSIBLY make matters worse. Surely.

Really good, love the slight yk gore/body horror I guess with the “barely phased hand in the gun shot wound digging the bullet out” Robert we got here. You go making cops puke! Also flambae and Robert PURPOSELY trying to make them uncomfortable with their quipping with each other was funny, and well sex. Flambae’s gaydar SUCKS. Dispatch

Summary
Robert doesn't know who he is outside of the suit. He feels like there's nothing for him to live for after the explosion, and he has a bad habit of carelessly throwing himself into danger, passively hoping he'll kick the bucket. His dog, Beef, is the only thing holding him back from doing the unthinkable.
When he starts dispatching for the Z-Team, things start to change as he gets closer to them. They see him struggling and decide to help in the ways they can. He finds a family there that he never thought he'd have.
Meanwhile, Robert is getting especially close to Flambae. He keeps finding himself both dragged and drawn towards him like a moth to flame. He struggles with the guilt of not being able to tell him that he's also Mecha Man while their friendship develops. Oh, and he might be falling for him, too, and that just makes things worse. Can he even hope that things will turn out okay?
