Summary
Jack has been on shift either for SWAT or the hospital for close to 50 hours straight. His vision was fine, but he still felt like a train had run him over. In his sleepy state, he had forgotten the end to the argument him and Robby had gotten into over SWAT and the motorcycle, therapy and all the rest where he walked out of their house. When Robby sees him in their house for the first time since Jack had threatened divorce, things blow up.

“I’m- I can’t convince myself to commit to a longer stay,” Robby admits, frustrated by it. “It’d be better for actually getting somewhere with antidepressants, I know, but I feel like once I take away the work and the bike and everything else I do… there’s a clock on how long I can be naked like that. When it runs out, if I’m not back on the right side, I’ll get stuck as nothing, forever.” Robby drops his face into his hand. “Why does this sound like The Little Mermaid?” he moans.
“Is this the kind of place where they throw a black bag over your head and smash your SIM card, or can I still talk to you?” Jack asks.
~After a scare on his road trip, Robby does two weeks of inpatient care in Wisconsin... and you'll never guess who he uses his phone time on~

Summary
ON HIATUS
Jack tilted his head back, meeting Robby’s gaze, his eyes dark from the alcohol. “I feel like I’ve known you all my life.”
Robby just blinked. Even in his drunken state, he felt something curl in his chest, the same thing he had spent the whole day trying to tamp down. What was he supposed to say to that?
“You haven’t, Jack,” he managed, lamely.
“I know, you just, like, get me,” Jack threw his arm outwards, letting it settle on Robby’s shoulder, his nose pressed into the space behind Robby’s ear.
“I think you and I were meant to find each other,” Jack said lowly, his breath ghosting the shell of Robby’s ear.

Clark crossed one leg over the other. “And what tells you you’re no longer there?”
Robby blinked.
“I just said.”
“No,” Clark said mildly. “You said you’re eating, sleeping, functioning, and in love. Those are all real things. They are also not, in and of themselves, evidence that the underlying structure is sound.”
The room went a little still.
Robby gave a short laugh.
“Well, that’s bleak.”
