The last video ends. The screen goes dark. Simon sits in the cockpit of the Bloody Mary, his hands frozen over the controls, his heart pounding so loud he can barely hear the hum of the engines.
Grace is out there. Alive. Dying. Alone.
And no one on Mars knows.
No one on Earth knows.
No one but Simon.
He looks at the coordinates. He looks at his fuel reserves. He looks at the oxygen timer, the food supply, the single chance to turn back before it's too late.
What the hell am I doing?
He doesn't know.
But he's already rerouting the navigation.
The Bloody Mary changes course.
Simon whispers into the dark:
"Hold on, Grace. I'm coming."

Summary
The “thing” in the room was pale, thin, with long wavy hair that was dark blond in color. It sat curled against the wall, facing away from the doorway that Rocky had just entered, seeming unbothered by the fact that someone had just walked in, or maybe just unaware. It was naked and the only movement that occurred every few seconds was a subtle shiver in the cold room.
And of course it was undeniably human.
Rocky gasped, running around the figure and falling to his knees in front of it. His hands hovered over its form, unsure of where to touch without hurting it, but eventually settled on its face, gently cupping its jaw.
Grace.

OR: The Hail Mary is invaded 6 months before Rocky and Grace arrive on Erid, and the alien crew takes Grace. When Rocky finds him a year later Grace has been broken beyond fixing… but Rocky is always up for a challenge.

“Um, hello.” Rocky lifts a hand slowly. The rock spider chitters and attempts to lift one back. But it’s tangled in wire, and the force that the alien uses to tug it free sends his body reeling backwards and thumping against the side of the tunnel. Rocky tries to keep a straight face.
“I’ll call you Grace,” he says. “Clearly you have plenty of it.”
...
Rocky wakes up in the Tau Ceti system, with his commander and science specialist dead. How's he supposed to save Earth?
