He needed to do something to catch Jason's attention. He hated it when any of the Bats got like this. He had an idea, but he knew it was risky.
"O?"
"Stephanie and Duke are almost there. Five minutes."
Five minutes. He could do that. He took a deep breath, held it, and as he released it, he released his control of his anger.
"God, you're just like your father." Tim spits at Jason's back. The Alpha freezes, then looks over his shoulder at the younger man, his hand tightening on his pistol.
"What the fuck did you just say to me?" He growls, meeting his Replacement's glare with one of his own.
"Tim, what the fuck are you doing?!" Barbara gasps in his ear.
Buying them time, he thinks.

Tim Drake has been obsessed with his predecessor for most of his life, and now that Jason is back in Gotham for good, he has a plan to bring the man back into their family. If he can survive the Courting period without Jason finding out the Delta was interested in him before the time was right.
(The prequel to "The Delta" and "The Delta's Place", focusing on the beginning of Tim's and Jason's courtship and Jason's reintegration into the Bat Colony and Wayne Pack.)

Dick's hands, restless, picked at a loose thread on the armrest. "Now Bruce is gone and the bond never fully formed. It was like a half-built bridge. And Damian's on the other side, and the whole damn thing has collapsed into the chasm. He's sick. Real sick. I can see it. That tightness around his eyes, the way he holds himself like he's expecting a blow, and he's lost weight again."
"He refuses most meals," Alfred confirmed softly, stepping closer. "I've taken to leaving plates in the study where he reads. Most remain untouched."
"It's not just grief, is it?" Dick looked up, desperation carving lines around his eyes that had no business being there at twenty-one.

Taking up the mantle of Robin was one of the best things to ever happen to Damian Wayne.
He would never admit it for the simple fact that it would display a vulnerability. In the League, vulnerabilities weren’t allowed. Vulnerabilities were exploitable - made you more easily controlled. When he tried for a second time, he went too early and saw everybody fighting for a cowl.
That, at least, he could work with.
Alternatively: Instead of entering the Lazarus Tournament, Damian tries to bring back Alfred with time travel... it backfires of course, so now he has to relive his past as Dick's Robin. All things considered, it could've been so much worse.
