Summary
"Your weapon, Lieutenant."
Malcolm followed his eyes to the slumped figure of the captain, unconscious on the floor, blood pooling beneath him. His gorge rose and he felt himself start to shake as he flicked on the safety, and placed his pistol in the commander's outstretched hand.

Summary
"Mischievous creatures, wind spirits." She says, "They think your 'outlook on life' will change in three days' time. I agree with them."
"Yeah?" Eddie says, "What's going to happen in three days?"
"The better question will be what will not happen." Gracie smirks, "You don't want to listen to the wind chimes? Very well. You will lose the sound of the voice of the one you love."

"Say something." Eddie pleads with Buck, looking at his lips with intense focus, "Say anything."
Eddie watches him mouth the word 'anything', and then he watches him say 'Eddie', and no sound comes out at all.

“Holy shit, Eddie. You weren’t kidding. You have a hot husband,” is the first thing Greta says 30 seconds into Eddie pretending he’s not freaking the fuck out about pretending Buck is his husband at his barber’s lesbian wedding.
He kind of feels like he’s going to puke. This was a bad idea. This was a terrible idea.
Or, a classic case of fake dating a wedding.

Summary
“C’mon, Eddie,” A voice breaks through the haze. Eddie jerks his head to the side to see Hen, all decked out in her paramedic blues, sitting criss-cross in the corner, elbow propped up on her knee and chin balanced on a closed fist. She rolls her eyes, using her free hand to gesture judgmentally at him. “You have to stop the bleeding.”
“Right,” Eddie says. She wasn’t in the elevator before. Eddie is pretty sure she wasn’t in the elevator before. He checks to see if the elevator moved without him noticing. It hasn’t, still showing that unforgiving letter E.
“This is paramedic 101,” Hen continues, unbothered by the impossibility of her presence. “Too much blood on the outside is bad. I would’ve thought you’d learned that in Afghanistan, at least.”
OR: Eddie in the elevator.
