Summary
He was happy to have met Rin; not only for the suitcase, but even talking that little with him had made him feel incredibly lighter as if his rival had unconsciously sucked away all the stress caused by the airport. He couldn’t understand how this was possible, considering he had spent so little time with the other, yet Rin always affected him. Isagi adored him. Few things in the world gave him peace as much as the other did, it was almost surreal: despite Rin not being the easiest person to deal with he gave him calm even when he needed it the most.
Basically a fanfiction in which Isagi will realize that maybe there is something more between him and his rival.

Daeron Targaryen has spent his entire life since he can remember praying. Praying to be more Hightower than Targaryen, praying to be a lord that could make his Uncle Ormund happy, praying to get away from the clawing touch of his Uncle Ormund’s hands against his shoulders, pressing down on him, making him feel as much a maiden staring down the blade of a marriage even as his Uncle forced him to become a warrior.
And yet—
And yet, there is a part of Daeron’s soul that is lodged beneath Tessarion’s blue scales. There is a part of Daeron’s soul that itches to touch his dragon.
There is a part of Daeron that needs to get to his girl before he makes it out of this town.
“I need to get to her,” Daeron murmurs for the first time in his life, and for the first time in his life, his uncle nods at his side.
The fact of the matter is that Daeron doesn’t just have siblings that he’s never met and one uncle that sees him only as some sort of beacon only when he refuses part of himself.
He also has his Uncle at his side.
Daeron looks at Uncle Gwayne and he sees himself. Sees the parts of himself that are unclean, that are considered unholy, impediments to the grand Hightower design.

Canute does whatever he can to keep Thorfinn, though it might cost him everything.
“You want to kill me now.”
The words steal his breath with their truth. Thorfinn looks at him, from under his filthy bangs, eyes piercing and bruised. Something in Canute’s chest flips over at that look, at how wounded he is. He’s broken. He’s been broken from the first moment they met, but now he’s lost even Askeladd to hold his pieces together.
“But if you fight me like this, it’s not fair. You have to wait until I get stronger. Be my guard until then, and I’ll duel you, warrior to warrior.”
Thorfinn’s gaze is unflinching. Canute reaches behind him and pulls the dagger from the folds of his fur-lined cloak. The blade is a part of Thorfinn, like the crown is a part of Canute, now. He hands it over, hilt first.
“Or, you can kill me today. Right now, right here.”
