They’re lounging on the divan facing Paradise Manor’s enormous koi pond, Hua Cheng’s head resting on Xie Lian’s lap, when Xie Lian absently brings up the song Hua Cheng has been humming on-and-off since this morning.
“Nice tune,” Xie Lian says, as he runs his fingers through Hua Cheng’s hair, toying with the ends of it.
The scratch of charcoal against paper briefly comes to a halt. Hua Cheng grins up at him, handsome and roguish, before setting his drawing aside. “Oh, is it? Or is gege only teasing?”
