Summary
Alpha John Watson, honorably discharged early in his army career, finds himself enrolled at Iowa University to complete his medical degree. The very first week of school, he develops a little crush on one of his classmates – a brilliant young beta with dark curls and bright eyes, who’s followed around by a bodyguard wherever he goes and who seems to have a knack for constantly getting on their Anatomy professor’s bad side. To say that John is intrigued would be an understatement.

Omegas can only have advanced careers, such as becoming doctors, through military enlistment. Not willing to give up his dream of becoming a doctor, John Watson joins the military and discovers a life for himself he wouldn't have had in London.
Things were going well for him until one morning, his General called him into his office and told Watson that they had just gotten word that an Omega Rights Representative would be on base for the next twenty-four hours for a routine inspection, asking Watson to be the man's guide while on base.
