Basically if S5 of TMA never happened. Bashira didn’t have to kill Daisy and they are a very happy human x werewolf couple, Melanie, Georgie, and The Admiral are all fine and Melanie has forgiven Jon for existing, and Jon and Martin are having a nice life up in Scotland with the nice cows. Either Melanie succeeded in killing Elias or he just spontaneously combusted. (I NEED THIS, OKAY?)

Summary
Arthur is not fully human, not anymore. Not after carrying a shard of a fragmented god of madness in his mind for so long, not after spending three months barely surviving in the dreamlands, not after successfully opening a portal to another realm to seal away a creature of nightmares. His body has energies and powers built up from all of these encounters, and the human body isn't meant to hold and all this energy and live. So Arthur's body starts to change without his knowledge, adapting to withstand and function with this inhuman energy.
Or, Arthur's been through the wringer and that has consequences. Such as becoming a weird little creature.

Ryland Grace thought that working on secret government science projects and then being basically bitten by a radioactive spider and then turning into a gosh-darn superhuman would be the wildest thing that ever happened to him. Because why wouldn't it???
But then one day, after coming home from his perfectly NORMAL job as a school teacher, he senses something. Something new, yet familiar. After trying to chase his best friend's worry away (that certainly won't bite him in the butt, no....) he walks into his house and finds...NINE other spider people. A good chunk of them, by the way, are TEENAGERS and he's pretty certain that he shouldn't be ok with literal kids runninga round risking lives. He's a teacher, for crying out loud!

When some fragment of my consciousness surfaces from the void, I am acutely aware of two things.
One, I’m lying still. Wherever I am, it pays no mind to the constant shifting of the tides and currents of the blood. Either the sub finally settled somewhere, or I’m somewhere else.
Two, everything hurts. Everything really fucking hurts. I’d grit my teeth in pain, maybe yell out, but my body doesn’t seem to be completely on the same page with me right now.
