“You must promise me, sweet child, to accept my boon. Let yourself be loved, and I will meet you when it is your time. You must tell me all about the love you found.” It felt warm. Snuggly. Like someone laying a blanket over him and turning off the television, letting him sleep.
And then the world swirled. Unnatural. Incorrect.
His palm slipped against his sweat- and blood-slicked neck, gagging desperately for air, as the pain rushed back in. Her fingertips lingered on his temple. He couldn’t force his eyes open. He opened his mouth, screamed.
No sound came out.
OR: Batman has killed the Red Hood. As Jason once again slips away in the rubble, the Universe looks down upon him and realizes, 'That's not quite right.' What he gets from this is a third chance. This time, he's not going to let his happy ending slip away - and neither will the Waynes.

Summary
Ilya Rozanov has signed with the Ottawa Centaurs and the world is very confused.
Zane Boodram is probably the one person affected the most by this shocking turn of events and it couldn't come at a worse time. His mentors and fellow captains are gone, and he's been left to lead the worst team in the league by himself, which is bad enough, but now he has to deal with Ilya Rozanov joining the roster?
The Cents don't have a winning legacy to protect, but they do have a positive team culture built up over years by their previous captain. Bood is determined to make sure that all the work doesn't go to waste, so he's not letting the Russian Menace come in and change it.Leaving Boston was supposed to be easy.
Ilya wasn't supposed to feel bad about. And he doesn't. Not really.
This is a good thing. A new team. The start of a new life with Shane.
But the Ottawa Centaurs are a mess and things would be a lot easier if Zane Boodram would stop being so weird about it all...Series

Summary
In another timeline, Shane and Ilya hook up in Room 1410, Ilya slips out unnoticed, and they spend the next seven years trapped in the situationship from hell we all know and love.
In this one, Yuna Hollander walks in just as Ilya goes to leave and—through the combined power of misunderstanding, miscommunication, and a frankly alarming lack of follow-up—Shane and Ilya start dating in 2010.
Given the chance to grow up with rather than against each other, Shane and Ilya build a life thats steadier, safer, and far less frightening than their canon. Their rivalry fizzles before it ever has the chance to fully ignite, replaced by hockey’s most beloved “bromance", and in 2015, they find the courage to do the one thing their canon counterparts never got to do: tell the NHL and the world.
There is just one problem: No one believes them.
OR: Despite Shane and Ilya being out for two years, Scott Hunter is still considered the first openly gay player in the NHL, much to Ilya’s indignation.
