Scully thinks about switching into the dress she packed, but who is she kidding: she knows Monica's type. Agent Reyes likes cowboys, stern faced, square jawed, and gentleman-casual. She likes the kind of of guy who could rope up a cow but never eat one 'cause 'they have souls in their eyes'.
She likes a soft butch, basically, which aside from 'Mrs Spooky' is essentially her title, thus... the jeans and flannel she's currently wearing over her tanktop will do.

Cleaned up sketch/rejected idea from MSR Bingo 2026 (Monica Scully Romanace? eh? Eh?!) ... except I'm not gay and shipping these two felt like gaybait, like forcing the characters into an unnatural situation just to get off on the eroticism of two chicks kissin and what not, and then it's the whole question of am I co-opting a legitimate sexual orientation as a straight person just to get off/get attention/kudos, and so on and so on, etcetera etcetera...
... so anyway here's Gay Bait. It's not that, but it is desperately needed female friendship, and it's cute, and I like it.
