Summary
Miserable with the loneliness that haunts his being, there is little left that Mettaton looks forward to in life. No calls, no texts, no visitors. Trapped in a form that causes him anguish, he can't bear to venture outside again, especially when the therapist he'd confided in two months ago posed a rather confronting question about his desire for a body to call his own.
He feels no choice but to resign himself to his bitter reality.
From the security and safety of his living room window, he catches glimpses of the outside world as his neighbours head home from school or work each afternoon at three. But the weekend's just started, and with that, he knows he'll be lonely once more. He's so deeply tormented by it all, he can't bear the thought of attending Hometown's upcoming festival. So when he's gifted a second hand television by Kris and Susie out of the blue, Mettaton takes it as an ample opportunity to excuse himself from the event.
But he can't shake the thought from his mind. An off-hand comment the girl had made about blades and determination.
Is there really a way he can attain the reality he desires?
And if so, just how desperate is he to protect it?
