Summary
Robby glanced around the Pitt. Jack was in a trauma room. Busy and perfect for Robby to get into his own files without the man hovering.
Robby deleted his emergency contact. Then he logged out and left without saying goodbye. There was no need to keep up their tradition.
or
Robby is used to ignoring symptoms. Except, flowers aren't easy to ignore. Instead, he'll make sure everyone around him doesn't notice until he's home alone. At least then his death won't be too much of an inconvenience. Better than surgery and losing all feelings for the man he loves.

Summary
“You better not go anywhere, either. I still got plans for you, hear me?” His hand pulls at Robby’s, guiding it to push his fork into the lasagna again, and he laughs. “Keep eating. I’ve only got twelve minutes left.”
Robby lets Jack half-feed him a bite of lasagna from his own hand, held by Jack’s, and it tastes a lot better than it had a moment ago.
“Tell me about the good ones,” Jack insists. “Who’d you save today, Superman?”
or: jack and robby steal a few minutes alone together when their shifts happen to line up.

Summary
Even in this rain, Robby recognized the footsteps behind him, so he didn't turn, just listened to that familiar half swaggering gait approaching him.
He'd never been able to decide if the swagger was more from the prosthetic or from the attitude. Probably a combination. Either way, the effect was the same, and Robby turned after all, to watch as Jack came closer.
Leaning casually against the railing and looking out over the skyline, his breath making plumes in the air that rose up into the curves of Robby's umbrella, Jack said, "So, should I be concerned that everyone is suddenly singing 'Toxic' down there? Did somebody poison the water supply while I wasn't looking?"

Summary
An unexpected break-up means Robby ends up going to Pittfest with Jake after all. He asks Abbot to cover half his shift, and Abbot is happy to agree—surely half a day shift can't be nearly as chaotic as the usual night shift. Everything that happens later changes his perspective on plenty of things, from just how crazy the day shift can get, to where exactly he wants to stand with Robby.
