He really wanted to be the one to give Stolas that pendant. And maybe that was kinda selfish, but he did. He wanted to prove to Stolas that he cared about the stuff he cared about and show him that not everything was so fucking hopeless all the time. He'd nearly done it, too, and then that fucking parrot snatched it away from him and made him look like a fucking idiot.
It just felt real shitty. No matter how hard he worked at stuff there was always some rich fucker who could swoop in and take it all away.

Yeah, if Lucifer was going to sneak to the other rings, he couldn’t exactly walk around looking like the King of Hell.
If only he could blend in with the hellborn better-
Oh, that was an idea.
Lucifer drags himself free of his glass orb prison, and is too injured to make it back home, and he can't go back to the hotel, obviously. He decides to head for the other rings, but in disguise, so as not to draw attention. Running into a business casual goetia in the marketplace throws off his plans, and he ends up totally entangled in someone else's story.
Stolas doesn't know this odd looking imp, but something is telling him he should probably help the guy out.
