The uproar in the arena is deafening as the ref finally skates out of his way, but Shane is by Ilya’s side now, his hand clutching his husband's. “I am here, baby,” he repeats over and over again. First in English, then in Russian. “You are okay. You are going to be okay, my love.”

(Secret) Married life has been very generous to Shane and Ilya following a drunken night in 2015. Until Ilya collapses on ice, that is.
