Summary
"I know what a breakup looks like," Daniel says. "The better question is, why are you coming to me about it? I'm the one who broke up your little sham."
"This is what humans do, don't they?" Armand asks, letting his voice drop. "Crashing on their friends' couches when there's a blip in their romances?"
"Except we're not friends. We're actually very much not friends." Daniel shrugs, as if it's all the same to him. "And I can't imagine the great vampire Armand deigning himself to sleep on my fucked-up sofa. That thing's been here since the nineties."
"Well," Armand only says. "I saw you have a guest bedroom."

What really happened at that fateful disaster concert almost a year ago?Daniel Molloy’s mockumentary, The Vampire Lestat. What’s sure to be an erotic, bloody, and fun two hours will be coming to a theater near you soon!
Known facts: They live together, sleep together, hunt together, and argue with enough frequency to qualify as a recurring event on his calendar.
Also a now-known fact: They had an extremely scandalous twelve-year affair that Armand had Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind style taken from Daniel’s memory.
Now add one red carpet, obsessive control issues, fighting as foreplay, and a lot of (mostly) innocent, traumatized bystanders, and you’ve got yourself a recipe for a real good time.
Or an extremely deadly one.
Daniel’s 50/50 on which one will win out.

Summary
“You are going to take what I give you. You will not find your own release. You will relieve me, and afterward I will correct your behavior. Do you understand?”
Daniel opens his mouth.
Armand presses his shoe painfully into Daniel’s growing erection.
Daniel jerks. Whimpers.
“Fuck—yeah. Boss. I understand.”
The pressure eases.
“Good.”
Armand brings Daniel to a private collectors’ preview because, despite all available evidence, he apparently believes Daniel can be trusted around billionaires, disputed provenance, and an open bar.
Daniel spends the evening testing that theory.
Armand eventually conducts his own experiment in corrective action.
Or: Somebody finally muzzles Molloy.

Summary
“So what was he like?” Salamander asked.
Lestat gave the question appropriate consideration.
“Beautiful, obviously. Very intense. Possessive. Earnest to the point of pathology.”
Daniel stared into his drink. No objection there.
“And catastrophically dull in bed.”
Daniel laughed.
Lestat did not.
Daniel looked up.
“Oh,” he said. “You’re serious.”
Daniel had, by any reasonable standard, been handling the restored memories just fine.
Besides, he had a documentary to make. Or theoretically make. Lestat’s tour had so far produced several hundred hours of footage and perhaps six usable minutes.
Then Lestat called Armand vanilla in bed.
Daniel happened to possess twelve years of restored memories suggesting otherwise.
There were lies people told deliberately, lies people told themselves, and statements so catastrophically incorrect they became a public-service issue.
Unfortunately, Daniel had cocaine, the Mind Gift, and supporting documentation.
He only meant to correct the record.
