Yes, alright, it's one of THOSE fics, loves. (As if North and South didn't have enough of them, I’ve gone and written another one.) Here we have the forced marriage trope but without all the misunderstandings and angst and torture over married "activities". Like my friend DaisyNinjaGirl (Whose similarly inspired story is wonderful. Please read it.) I wanted to answer the question 'What if John and Margaret both decided to be honest and open and just try, for the love of all that's holy, to actually get along...all while properly shagging like normal people?' And here we are.
This is for anyone who's ever come home from a bloody long day and just wanted a smutty, happy, North and South story.
PS. This is already complete. (Yes...I wrote all 20 chapters...aren’t I clever?) So Happy Christmas, loves. I hope you enjoy it!

Summary
In October 2022, I wrote a one-shot entitled ‘A Breath of Hope’ as part of a collaborative collection of stories about time travel. At the time of publication, readers unanimously asked for more. This is my more.
I’m giving this story to TRavine. You asked me to fix it, and I tried. For you. I hope it doesn’t disappoint (and I hope you have a hankie). Enjoy.

“Adam, I simply think of him as a friend as I always did.” She rubbed his arm again (practically purring as she felt the muscle).
“Goodnight.” He’d turned then, to the edge of the bed and away from her. It’d stung, but Persephone was so dog tired she fell reluctantly to sleep.
Frustration had festered inside her all night, thinking of the cold way Adam had dismissed her and her want. He hadn’t offered true conversation of the subject; he decided what was best for him.
OR after their return from Shropshire Christmas, Adam and Persephone struggle to adjust to their new relationship, communication is hard and only made harder with the entrance of an old Lancaster family friend. Both must continue to push for each other to grow.

Summary
Hermione and Snape are forced into each other's company by a common plot device.
"Hermione wasn't exactly sure how she had ended up in this position. Well, that wasn't exactly true. They had put her here. Hmm. That was the first time she had ever thought of Dumbledore and Voldemort as "they." She felt vaguely guilty but immediately dismissed the feeling. Voldemort had commanded, Dumbledore had encouraged…. Of course, if she was going to be fair, it wasn't just the two of them. There was the Ministry, the Malfoys, and thousands of Death Eaters. All of them had played a part in the formation of this particular moment.
This particular moment happened to involve her standing at the top of the astronomy tower with Professors Dumbledore, McGonagall, and Snape. Professor Snape, of course, was the one who had her attention at the moment, and that was mostly because he was holding her hand. And because they were now bound together for life."
