Lestat’s thoughts flutter around him. An English phrase, poorly pronounced: must we not pay a debt to pleasure too? Then, back to French. Fuck me, he smells awful. Very unfair of him to look like Saint Sebastian and yet smell like a sewer.
Carefully, Armand extracts his fangs and lifts his nose from where it was scrunched against the skin of Lestat’s neck, the skin that smells like Marseilles soap and traces of stage paint. Armand pulls down his upper lip, works his jaw until his fangs recede. He glares.
Misunderstanding, feckless life choices, and hot water in 1795.

Summary
But Lestat has been made richer than God, Armand likely hasn't washed this side of the 1780s, and the opportunity presented itself. To indulge himself, to spoil this ascetic crypt-creature a little. The second bath sits closer to the fire, was heated far hotter; will still be warm when he spills Armand into it.
Lestat helps Armand in from the cold.
