    Summary

Clicking on the messaging app, Gwayne was once again bombarded with the texts he had been receiving throughout the year.

Where are you? Don’t tell me you're still throwing this tantrum. I’m not going to sign that nonsense your blasphemous lawyers drew up.

You can’t simply disappear from your husband, Gwayne. Do you think I won’t find you? I always find you.

Daeron asked about you again. You don’t want to keep hurting his feelings. The maesters say they’ve found him praying to the Mother for you.

And then his eyes caught on the most recent one.

I see. That’s why you’ve been away from me. You find yourself in the embrace of another. And a Dornishman, at that?

    or,

A year after fleeing Oldtown, Gwayne is tracked down by his estranged husband. Forced to play nice for the sake of their son, Gwayne quickly realizes that Ormund has no intention of letting him leave their marriage. He's come to remind Gwayne who he belongs to.

“You disgust me.” Cold words that were the first to escape Ormund’s mouth. As if he became the divine judgement that spoke the final sentence to send him into the depths of hell. And Gwayne just couldn’t help himself as the corners of his mouth rose.

“And yet you took me into your home, into your bedroom, despite all the warning signs as your desire to fuck me grew bigger than your principles.”

They're not good for each other, Gwayne knows it. But still, he can't stop himself from burning his fingers on Ormund, as he is the only one who can truly give him what he longs for.

    Summary

In a world where power speaks louder than steel, Ser Duncan the Tall is bound to a prince who reminds him, again and again, that he is nothing. Yet beneath the cruelty of Aerion Targaryen lies something far more dangerous than hatred, as, what begins as humiliation and violence slowly twists into something unsettling — an intoxicating blend of dominance, dependence, and desire.

As the line between torment and intimacy blurs, both Duncan and Aerion were bound to confront a haunting truth — one yet to be surrendered to.

A story of power, pain, and the perilous pull between devotion and destruction, where even the cruelest words may hide a far more consuming fire.

    Summary

In the end, it is not that hard to execute the plan.

It is easy as taking a cup of tea to his nephew. Simple as that. Daeron doesn’t even think about summoning a food taster, because why would he?

For all that has separated them, all that Gwayne abandoned him into the hands of Ormund Hightower, Daeron trusts him. He trusts that Gwayne wouldn’t seek to harm him.

And it is the truth, in its way. Gwayne wouldn’t seek to harm him. He would do anything to save Daeron’s life, whether he likes it or not.

Gwayne knows, in this moment, as he sets the cup of tea down on Daeron’s small table in this small room that Ormund has set aside for him in the Footlys’ keep, that he is like as not to lose Daeron’s trust for the rest of time.

But if the price of Daeron’s trust, his faith, is his life, then Gwayne is willing to pay it.

So the night before the battle, as those in Tumbleton are drinking away their last nights on earth, Gwayne drops milk of the poppy into Daeron’s tea.

(When Daeron refuses to leave Tumbleton, Gwayne makes the decision for both of them. He will not lose his nephew to their uncle's ambitions, whatever it takes.)

    Summary

Ormund started absentmindedly playing with Gwayne's hair as Gwayne rested his head on his cousin's thigh. "I would assume Daeron is still a ways away from becoming a man," he answered.

"In that way he is similar to you."

A short history of how Gwayne became the father that stepped up while also dealing with his cousin in the least healthy way possible.
