Summary
The Taskforce’s employees and the Gansu’s personnel are all well-acquainted with Dr. Grace’s and Director Stratt’s inability to walk like normal people.
Which is why, when Dr. Grace turns a corner, readjusts the duffel bag he’s thrown over his shoulder and runs full pelt past the three officers taking a break in the hallway, they hardly bat a single eyelash at the sight. When they recognize that the duffel bag squirming on his shoulder is actually Director Stratt bouncing dangerously—she keeps failing at finding purchase on Dr. Grace’s back—the officers become a little alarmed but remain ultimately unbothered. It’s certainly not the weirdest thing that they’ve witnessed those two doing.
But it’s Dr. Grace’s inhuman speed and severe countenance that finally urges the officers into action.

Dr. Ryland Grace knows all the emergency procedures to follow when an accident happens in his lab. When such accidents involve Director Eva Stratt, however, all protocols are thrown out the window.

Summary
The circus cannot survive without Caine. His existence is tied to its existence. Which means, whether they like it or not, the players will have to find a way to bring him back.
Thankfully, Kinger has a plan. He informs the players about a powerful AI Caine had consumed long ago, Model-58. If they can get Caine to agree to have this AI removed from him, they can split the AI's power amongst themselves. But problems arise as the plan is put into action.
Caine has been acting strange ever since he was brought back without his powers.
Jax has been oddly friendly and spending a lot of time alone.
Worst of all...the players have to learn to co-exist with Caine if they want the circus to stay standing. And it doesn't take long for tensions to rise when Caine is confronted for his past actions. But the players are soon confronted with their own past actions as they find out that they're not the only ones who have been traumatized in this digital hell.
Turns out this lover without a heart had his heart broken by his own creators.
