Troy stopped just outside the door, not wanting to interrupt. He hadn’t meant to eavesdrop. Yuna’s reply was brisk but kind. “He’s been really polite and helpful, actually. Lifting everything I point at without complaint.”
Ilya chuckled. “Good. Harris saw some stuff online, people complaining that Troy’s coaching. You know how it is.” Troy’s stomach twisted. He should walk away. Instead he stood frozen.
Yuna sighed. “One father called yesterday. His son’s attending the Ottawa week. He was concerned because Troy used to be friends with Dallas Kent-”
Eleven days after the Hollanov wedding, Troy helps Yuna and David organize the Ottawa portion of the Game Changers camp while Harris, Ilya, and Shane are in Montreal. When an overheard snippet of conversation causes Troy to resign as coach, he does so, of course, in his own uniquely self-loathing way.

"Fuck off," Shane grumbled, punching Ilya playfully in the shoulder. "Did you tell them how inappropriate that is? How-"
"Moy lyubimiy, I did not stay to chat, is bad manners," Ilya sighed, pulling his Omega against his chest despite the grumbling. "I will give very stern talking to later. No one will ever dare to get off in showers but us."

Or, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov are leading the centaurs to their second Stanley Cup and enjoying a love lived out in the open. It's not always easy. Ilya's still learning to be an Alpha. Shane's still learning to let him. Luca Haas is still a busy body and Troy Barrett definitely needs therapy, but everyone is working on it. They're a team and they're keeping it together on the road to success... kind of.

Summary
Luca "the future of hockey" Haas has a meltdown on the ice in the final five minutes of the game.
So naturally, the best way Luca thought to rebrand was by throwing himself into a summer athlete campaign with the Centaurs, in hope to outrun the fear that he’ll never be as skilled, confident, or sexually expressive as Ilya Rozanov was at his age.
But when the harmless Luca Haas snaps and shocks everyone by fistfighting with Filipino-Canadian youth athlete Angelo Perez, summer quickly derails into a dilemma to be seen as mature, living up to the expectations of the team, and these newfound, guilty urges for the very guy he fought on day one.
Centaur matchmaking. Missing home. A messy summer fling. A mean article. An exploration of what sparks are supposed to feel like. And Ilya catches Luca buying condoms.
And a “bad influence” that makes Luca feel—maybe for just one summer—that it's okay to be a little selfish.
