Clark Kent is wary of Bruce Wayne. He's met too many men like him – charming, arrogant, and swimming in more money than they know what to do with. He’s hiding something, Clark is sure of it.
Bruce would do anything to learn more about the threat Superman poses, so when an unassuming new reporter with mysterious connections to the superhero takes over the Gotham beat, he doesn’t pass up the opportunity.
Seducing Clark Kent wasn’t exactly the plan, but hey, Bruce isn’t complaining.

There were lots of things that Agent Curt Mega knew how to do.
He knew how to fire a gun, how to angle his forearm so that the kick of the bullet discharging didn’t feel like a sucker punch to the shoulder.
He knew how to exude confidence with a wide-legged stance, how to lean against the counter of the corner store, how to shake hands with a firm, almost arrogant gesture.
He knew how to flirt. How to raise an eyebrow, how to make his eyes linger for just a second too long and let the girl catch him looking. How to twitch the side of his mouth upwards like he couldn’t help smiling.
So yes. Curt Mega knew how to do many different things.
He had no clue how to act around Owen Carvour.

This fic was written for the following prompt:
November 1963: A nationwide manhunt is underway for the man suspected of killing the president. But said man manages to evade the feds in his roundabout route to North Salem, New York – where he knocks on the door of a former friend, who only hesitates for a moment before he lets him in.
Charles (who here is long before the decline depicted in DOFP and is preparing to open the school) is deeply hurt seeing Erik again: he won't leave him to be captured, but he doesn't really want him in his house, either. Erik is torn between gratitude for the protection, anger over (in his view) being dumped by Charles, and guilt over Charles's accident. (Note: Accident aside, would love if this isn't framed around Charles "forgiving" Erik for his views or actions on the beach, as often happens in reconciliation fics. :-/)
