Summary
Desperate measures have their price. Through forbidden necromancy, Jayce succeeds to revive Viktor, but what returns is no longer the man he once knew. Reborn as a biomechanical, flesh and blood-hungry entity, Viktor abandons Jayce and the Academy, taking his research back to the roots of Zaun. Fearing what Viktor may become, and sensing a great feeling of betrayal within him, Mel orders Jayce to find him and uncover his intentions. Deep in the Undercity, Viktor is building something vast, driven by a vision of independence and glory for Zaun. However as his creation grows, so does the struggle against his fading humanity and evolution into something far beyond mortal.

"Bonjour?" Ilya tried to sound as menacing as possible, mentally running through all three and a half French words he knew. No reaction. Unfortunately, Shane was away filming another commercial today. He probably could have said something in Japanese, too!
These two didn't look Japanese. One of them, skinny and so pale his skin almost had a purple tint, emitted strong 'Eastern European immigrant' vibes. The other, a dark, bearded muscleman, looked more Latino, but neither of them gave the impression of fans, journalists, or robbers. What they were doing in the Canadian wilderness with such an imperturbable demeanor was a big question. Were they cultists or something?
Intrigued, Ilya tried to remember anything in Spanish, but then the skinny man made a hand gesture as if he wanted to show a magic trick, and said in perfect Russian:
"Ilya Rozanov, we've come to make you a child."

Jayce hates the stuffy clothes his mom made him wear. It was graduation, sure, but surely not everyone was wearing a white button-up and slacks. Underneath his cap and gown, he was sweating buckets. He was no doubt sweating through his only nice white button-up. Not because it was his last day as a high school student. Not because he was salutatorian and he was about to make his speech. Not because he got into Piltover’s top university.
Because he chose to confess to the valedictorian today.Alternatively: What happens when Jayce confesses to Viktor via note on graduation day? What happens when he doesn't respond?
