“Do you see what you've done?” Dunk said the words heavily. His voice did not raise more than someone who was sharing a secret. “All of this madness and violence, do you see what you've done, my Prince?”
“Ser...” Aerion repeated. His short, pale fingers touched the back of Dunk's neck. He stiffened like a rabid dog and looked back at him.
Aerion licked his lips and Dunk mirrored the gesture. He had fresh water sitting on the small table close to the bed. Dunk was sure that Prince Maekar had offered him sip after sip when he was awake and dabbed his lips with a wet, clean cloth when he was sleeping. His large hand settled on his stomach, beneath his bellybutton and above his pubis, in that spot in his body no one had seemed to claim just yet.
Dunk was willing to guard it like a vicious beast. A nest for dragons.
