Edwin ignored him. “And I will act all smitten with you. When they offer you the money to break up with me – and rest assured, throwing money at problems is their only way of handling anything – you will take it. I shall be horribly heartbroken to make them feel guilty and any subsequent romantic partner who is a bit more... mellow than you will be quite welcome.”
Charles stared at him, unsure of how he could’ve ever thought of Edwin Payne as innocent. “Damn... you are a conniving little bastard, aren’t you?”-
Charles Rowland's first impression of Edwin Payne can be summerized as privileged, rich and aloof – also incredibly pretty, but that’s besides the point. However, when Edwin presents him with a scheme to piss off his conservative parents and get some money out of them in the process, Charles can’t resist the siren call of causing mayham for some Tories.

Summary
Viktor tried not to think too much about Jayce’s touch, though he often failed. Jayce was a tactile person. He shook hands firmly with colleagues, he happily slung an arm around those he was comfortable with, he posed for photo ops with kids and happily let them crawl onto his shoulders and cling onto his legs.
He was just a touchy guy, Viktor told himself, when Jayce would rush into his arms with excitement, hugging him tightly when Viktor said something that broke through the mental wall Jayce would hit sometimes when perfecting a concept. Or when Jayce would sit extra close to him during the technology conferences they would attend, scooting his chair so they were practically pressed up against each other, whispering and laughing softly in his ear about their colleagues’ presentations.
It was all just typical friendly gestures, and Viktor would continue to convince himself of that.
