Cliopher wakes, to see the stars above him. They are unfamiliar, and slightly blurry. He blinks a few times, but they don't seem to want to come into focus. And yet he is sure they are wrong. Well, wrong for Zunidh.
He was on Zunidh, surely? He doesn't remember being on Alinor or Ysthar recently. And he used to know the stars of Ysthar. Well, perhaps they have changed in the ten thousand years, or however long it has been, since the Fall there.
Fall? Fall! He was falling before, that's the last thing he remembers.
