Summary
Years of watching the Bats dance around grief like it was something that would drag them down if they let it. Years of encoding his information so that Barbara couldn’t hack him, leaving criminals tied up for Nightwing, tending to Batman’s victims--sorry, enemies. Years of visiting Robin’s grave with no new news, promising that he would do something to make it better.
Tim finally snapped.
And now the Red Hood was here. Broken into Arkham to kill Tim for the blood on Tim’s hands. (Or so he thinks.)
Or from Jason’s perspective: You buy the guy an ice cream one time, and he commits murder for you.

Summary
The blond smiled and took a seat on the ground beside Tim and smiled, taking the box from Tim to look through. “Tell me about her?”
Tim pursed his lips as he thought on how to best explain his mother.
“Mother, she loved me. In her own special, complicated way. It wasn’t always the love I needed or wanted,” he said, raking his fingers through his hair. “But she loved me. When she was home, she would actually talk to me about my interests unlike my father. Mother, she would take me with her to go shopping, we would go to all of these small shops and half the time not even buy anything–just look. And she would take me to museums and art exhibits and we would talk about everything together, history, the arts, politics. We talked about everything, she understood me in a way a lot of people didn’t. Sometimes she would tell me it’s because we’re cut from the same cloth, that it was because I was more like her than Jack.”
Tim needs to find the perfect gift for Conner now that they're engaged, but doing so requires him to go down memory lane.
