Takes place right after the events of Resident Evil 5
AU in which Wesker survives, though barely alive, he tracks down Chris and hides in his apartment, waiting for the perfect moment to kill him. Only to find out that it's Leon's apartment instead. And Leon being the innocent hero that he is, feels sorry for the injured stranger and unknowingly helps a mass murderer recover to full health.
How does Wesker thank him? By going after his best friend and beating the living shit out of him.

“What’s up?” Chris asked as soon as Jill caught up with him, giving her a sideways glance as she fell in step next to him.
“You won’t believe this,” she said, with the kind of grin she only got when she was up to something. She looked downright elated, like she would burst if she didn’t get to say what was on her mind. “Remember the new rookie that started here two weeks ago? He just broke your record at the shooting range.”
Immediately Chris froze in his tracks. He turned to look at Jill from huge eyes, mouth open in shock. “He what!?”

“Come on, I’m not asking you to stay at the welcome party all night, but you should at least greet the rookie. Make a good first impression,” insists Jill.
Chris twirls his pen between his fingers and he sighs again. “You know I don’t care about that. I’ll meet him soon enough.”
Jill puts her hands on his desk and leans over it to get in his personal space. Her smile is mischievous and positively gleeful.
“Even when he’s exactly your type?” she whispers with amusement.
“I don’t have a type,” Chris argues, even though he knows that they both know he does.
As if on cue, Jill leans back and begins counting on her fingers as she speaks; “Really? Soft blonde hair, delicate features, big innocent baby blue doe eyes, a sweet smile…”
Chris can’t help imagining what the rookie must look like from Jill’s description, and damn if that doesn’t make for a pretty picture.
