Silence descended on them two, and Illuga waited patiently until more moments than it usually took Flins passed, and he blinked in the break of the routine, lifting his head a little to observe the other.
"Yes. I am familiar with the crimson flames whom you speak of—though they did not hold the title as rigidly as the Azure Flame, though the two were irrefutably connected." A strange gap between his sentences, as if he had missed the next breath and needed a moment to try again. He straightened his shoulders and Illuga felt something in him settle at the familiar posture. "An interesting point in time, that, as it is near the end of the Azure Flame's story, and his connection to his…successor."
Illuga's eyebrows rose slowly, unsure whether the reaction was appropriate to the vague statement. "I suppose…that makes sense, though…you make it sound like it's the last of a thousand-page book."
Flins made a non-committal sound, "Oh, some might phrase it that way."

The ribcage, lungs,” he goes on as he raises his hand to rub a circle in the middle of his chest, then presses his palm fully against it. His eyes trail over to stare at Flins’ lantern for a long moment. Flins, though, stares at Illuga’s eyes and is mesmerized at the reflection of flickering flames on the blue, like lapping of the waves on the shore. “The heart chambers.”
“Young Master,” is punched out of him, and his breath is stolen from the lungs he doesn’t need as if spinning a yarn back on the clew.
