“Is this level of pleasure new for you, my kin?” Ares asked the young god, leaning back on his elbows to look down into his mismatched eyes. Zagreus looked up at him, nodding once silently, at a loss for words. Ares grinned roguishly. “Well, my kin, let me show you a world you’ve never known.”

So he gives Sokka knives. He remembers his favorite foods. He stares at him constantly. He brings him gifts and then nearly combusts whenever Sokka calls him a “good friend.”
Everyone figures it out.
Katara knows. Toph knows. Aang knows.
Sokka?
Sokka thinks Zuko is just being weird.
It takes one very honest conversation, several terrible attempts at romance, and a whole lot of accidental feelings for the two of them to finally figure out that maybe their friendship has been something more all along.
Or: Zuko has a crush, Sokka is oblivious, and everyone else is suffering.
