AU where the All Systems Red survey goes off without a hitch, it's only afterward that things start going wrong.
Stranded on a station, PresAux are attacked and then hire their rescuer to escort them home. Security Consultant Eden is amazingly competent, but also awkward and extremely shy. Is it too much to ask for them to come out of wherever they're hiding on the ship long enough to be thanked?
And what's with all the random attacks dogging PresAux throughout the journey?(Meanwhile, Murderbot & ART are wondering what the hell these nice little hippies did to piss off a vicious whining two-bit corporation so badly.)

I usually didn’t want to take my usual rest period, but after the day I’d had, I didn’t mind. The fact that I was covered in mud didn’t hurt either. I hate being covered in mud, but I’d jumped into what was basically a mud fountain in order to rescue two of ART’s crew who were stuck on the other side (and in danger of being eaten by sentient plants.)
So. More or less an ordinary day on the job for me.

Summary
Something funny was happening to my organic parts. I felt… strange. Strange in a bad way. Strange in a sick with dread way, no matter how stupid that was. Its owner wasn't coming back.
ART pinged me. I ignored it.
The fauna had been left behind, just like the furniture, just like all the other human things. And now it had gone rogue, outside what it had been allowed to do before, in an effort to survive.
And okay, yes, maybe these were dumb conclusions to come to, and a SecUnit shouldn't be projecting anything onto a domesticated fauna.
But it had been abandoned.
